Natural Lash and Brow Transformation

natural lash and brow transformation

Let us introduce you to a natural lash and brow transformation trio: the lash lift, brow shaping, and the use of growth serums for both lashes and brows. Together, these treatments offer a holistic approach to eye-area beauty, emphasizing health, structure, and natural enhancement.

The Power of the Trio: Lift, Shape, Nourish

When combined, these three treatments create a complete transformation:

1. Lash Lift opens the eyes and gives the appearance of added length.

A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that curls and lifts your natural lashes from the root, giving them a longer, fuller appearance. Lash lifts are great because they are a low-maintenance, natural-looking enhancement.

The entire procedure takes about 45–60 minutes and lasts 6–8 weeks.

2. Brow Shaping frames the face and enhances structure.

Brow shaping involves removing excess hair and defining the natural brow shape to suit your face.

A well-shaped brow can lift the eyes, balance facial features, and even change your perceived expression. Whether you prefer bold arches or soft curves, shaping your brows enhances symmetry and brings balance to your look.

3. Growth Serums nourish and sustain long-term beauty.

Growth serums are topical treatments designed to stimulate hair follicles, encouraging longer, thicker, and healthier lashes and brows. They typically contain a blend of peptides, vitamins, and botanical extracts.

The benefits of growth serums can be seen as early as three weeks after initial use. You should see reduced breakage and shedding which will result in thicker, fuller lashes and brows.

Ideal Routine

We recommend waiting a minimum of six weeks between lash lifts. While they are safe and gentle, they
use a lifting lotion to break down the bonds in the hair structure. Like perms, they also use a setting lotion to reform the bonds to hold the new shape.

Brow shaping can be done on a monthly basis. We recommend getting your brows shaped professionally whenever you can.

Serum application is daily. Consistency is key. Some growth serums may require twice-daily application.

Stick to your routine and watch the natural lash and brow transformation trio unfold!

Lash Lift and Tint Services

best lash lift and tint yeg

We offer Lash lift and Tint services in YEG. Join us on Lash Lift Thursdays when all lash care services are 20% off.

Minimum lash length for Lash Lift

The eyelashes should be a minimum of a half centimetre long in order to do the service safely. If your eyelashes do not quite meet the required length, try using a lash enhancement serum for 8 weeks in preparation for your Lash Lift.

Is tinting the lashes safe?

Lash tint is safe. We use specialized dyes on eyelashes that have a relatively lower peroxide content of 3% as opposed to hair dye. The role of peroxide is to open up the seal of the hair.

Relatively speaking, the 3% found in the specialized tint is very mild. It won’t completely open the hair, just enough to deposit the colour.

Tips to achieve healthier eyelashes

Removing your makeup properly is very important when growing the lashes naturally. Make sure that your lashes are properly cleansed down to the base.

Remember, the more obstruction you have along that area, the harder it will be for that hair to grow to its fullest potential. Avoid using very drying agents around the eyes. For example, some makeup removers can be very drying which is going to make the lashes a lot more brittle.

Try to avoid astringent or alcohol-based makeup remover on the eyes. Use conditioning serums that will feed your lashes with proper ingredients. Castor oil is a common ingredient in brow and eyelash conditioners. It is known to help promote length and volume in the eyebrows and lashes.

Lash Lift Care Instructions

Maintain your lash lift by following the recommended aftercare. Avoid water, steam, makeup for the first 48 hours. After that, try to use mild cleansers around the eyes. Avoid strong astringents or alcohol-based and oil-based eye makeup removers.

Lash Lift Edmonton South

What is a LASH LIFT?

Located in South Edmonton, we offer Lash Lift services. Lash lifts are a gentle form of lash perming that curls the natural lashes along the lash line. It gives the appearance of longer more feminine lashes.

Lash lifts can last up to 12 weeks depending on after-care products used and thickness of lashes. Try to minimize rubbing and use gentle products on the eye area. Thick lashes are more resistant and will fall faster than thin lashes.

It is recommended that clients wait 12 weeks between lash lifts. This allows your hair to recover and regenerate new growth.

What can go wrong during a Lash Lift?

It is rare for reactions to occur as the products are kept strictly on the lashes. People who have sensitivity to latex are not recommended to have the service, as the adhesive used does contain latex.

If you have ever reacted to artificial lash glue used for strip lashes, you are at risk of having a reaction. Typical allergic reaction will cause the eyes to swell for up to 72 hours.

How does it work?

The first step is to open the bonds in the hair, giving flexibility within the mid shaft where the curl is found. The second step sets the lashes into position and seals the hair shaft. The third step reintroduces moisture back into the lashes.

How do I care for my lashes after the treatment?

Avoid water for 48hrs, therefore, coming to your appointment with freshly washed hair will be of benefit.

You must also avoid makeup, and pressure on the lashes for 48hrs. It is recommended to sleep on your back in order to avoid bending the lashes overnight. Using a lash comb to lift and operate the lashes will help set.

Afterwards you can return to your regular routine and products.

What does a lash lift do?

Located in Edmonton, Dérmica offers lash lift services to maximize your eye beauty. What the lash lift does is gently perm the eyelashes using a formula specifically created for the eye area.

What does the lash lift process look like?

The process typically involves a two-step process similar to hair perming. It gives the natural lashes a curl and lifting effect which gives the appearance of fuller, extended lashes.

How long does the lash lift last?

Maximum results are seen during the first few weeks after the service. But any effects it has on the natural hair strand will remain until that hair is naturally shed. Everyone’s rate varies but typically you’re looking at 20% shedding and regrowth every couple of weeks for the lash and brow areas. With that being said, you’re looking at 6-10 weeks.

Is a lash lift better than eyelash extensions?

In terms of safety, a lash lift and false eyelashes are about the same. If someone has sensitive eyes they will react to anything being placed on the eyes, for example, makeup or products being used in a service.

As far as the side effects on the natural lashes, a lash lift would have less potential side effects when it comes to the wear. During the service, we use and remove the products and thats the end of that. There is nothing left on the lashes such as products or tools that apply extra weight. On the other hand, with lash extensions you have an adhesive that you’ll be wearing until that lash sheds. Plus, it does add weight regardless of how amazing the technician and the products are. it’s still weighing on your lashes.

Does crying affect lash lift?

Crying will have negative effects if you’re doing it early into the 48-hour period. Unfortunately, it is going to have an effect on the longevity and efficacy of the service. It is important to keep your lashes dry during this period.

However, if it’s beyond that 48 hours it should not affect the wear- unless you’re rubbing your eyes a lot, applying pressure, or bending the lashes downward.

Do you still wear mascara with a lash lift?

You can apply mascara as often as you’d like. Its best to avoid oil-based eye makeup remover if you are getting a tint along with your service as this can strip your colour. In fact, any strong products over the eyes can minimize the effects. But with mascara you are good to go!

Do Lash Lifts work on Short Lashes?

How long do the eyelashes need to be for a Lash Lift?

Lash Lifts work on short lashes. However, the eyelashes should be a minimum of a half centimetre long in order to do the service safely. This is because on top of securing your eyelashes onto the silicone pad, the technician needs to apply the perming solution as close to the lash line without disturbing it. Short lashes leave little room for the technician to work with.

The lashes should be at minimum a half centimetre long for a Lash Lift.

If your eyelashes do not quite meet the required length, try using a lash enhancement serum. Previously, serums such as EyEnvy led the way in lash enhancement with no prescription necessary. This allowed millions of users to experience never-before-seen eyelash length.

Now, EyEnvy has been discontinued but you can find lash enhancement serums in most stores. We recommend Adoreyes. While sharing similarities with EyEnvy, it has some positive improvements. Examples include the timeframe in which the serum works. Unlike EyEnvy, Adoreyes works on all 3 stages of hair growth. Adoreyes may cost slightly more, but offers more serum in the bottle.

Are you ready for your Lash Lift?

Do lash lift work on very straight lashes?

Yes, however, given the fact that the hair follicle has been trained to grow in that position for so long, it may take a coupe of sessions to achieve the desired curl.

Will tinting after a lash lift damage the lashes further?

No, the level of peroxide contained in any facial dye is very low and is mainly for the purpose of depositing colour. In other words, it is not lifting. If anything, it can help to fill the opened hair cuticles.

Transitioning from Extensions to Lash Lifts

If you previously wore lash extensions, we recommend waiting 4-6 weeks before your lash lift. This will depend on how much damage has been caused by the eyelash extensions. Using a growth serum will help strengthen the lashes giving better results.
