When Lash Lifts Go Wrong
Can you redo a bad lash lift?
What constitutes a bad Lash Lift? While a Lash Lift is a simple service that delivers instant results in a short amount of time, there are a few things that can go wrong.
Why is my lash lift so curly?
Most times getting a Lash Lift is a time of joy! As Service Providers, we have different size options to choose from based on the length of your natural eyelashes. Typically, we select small pads for smaller eyelashes. But sometimes, the Service Provider will select a smaller pad to achieve a tighter curl, especially when dealing with very straight lashes. Sometimes the risk does not pay off and the curl can be too tight making it difficult to wear.
In these instances, you can only wait for the curl to relax on its own. At the very least an overly tight curl at the beginning will last you an extra couple weeks longer.
How do you fix frizzy eyelashes after lash lift?
Over-processing is another thing that can go wrong during a Lash Lift. Over-processing can happen when the chemical solution is left too long, or the eyelashes are lifted too soon after a Lash Lift.
Fixing frizzy lashes comes down to restoring the eyelashes. Strengthening your lashes can be as simple as brushing them with a spoolie after washing your face in the morning and evening. Some people apply nourishing creams or even vaseline on the lashes. However, we recommend against this as it can cause styes in the eyes.
If you would like to apply a nourishing substance on the lashes prior to your Lash Lift, we recommend something that is specific for the eyelashes, such as Adoreyes Lash Enhancing Serum.
Why are my eyelids so puffy after lash lift?
An allergic reaction is another thing that can go wrong in a Lash Lift.
It is rare for reactions to occur as the products are kept strictly on the lashes. People who have sensitivity to latex are not recommended to have the service, as the adhesive used does contain latex.
If you have ever reacted to artificial lash glue used for strip lashes, you are at risk of having a reaction. Typical allergic reaction will cause the eyes to swell for up to 72 hours.
