We offer Lash lift and Tint services in YEG. Join us on Lash Lift Thursdays when all lash care services are 20% off.

Minimum lash length for Lash Lift

The eyelashes should be a minimum of a half centimetre long in order to do the service safely. If your eyelashes do not quite meet the required length, try using a lash enhancement serum for 8 weeks in preparation for your Lash Lift.

Is tinting the lashes safe?

Lash tint is safe. We use specialized dyes on eyelashes that have a relatively lower peroxide content of 3% as opposed to hair dye. The role of peroxide is to open up the seal of the hair.

Relatively speaking, the 3% found in the specialized tint is very mild. It won’t completely open the hair, just enough to deposit the colour.

Tips to achieve healthier eyelashes

Removing your makeup properly is very important when growing the lashes naturally. Make sure that your lashes are properly cleansed down to the base.

Remember, the more obstruction you have along that area, the harder it will be for that hair to grow to its fullest potential. Avoid using very drying agents around the eyes. For example, some makeup removers can be very drying which is going to make the lashes a lot more brittle.

Try to avoid astringent or alcohol-based makeup remover on the eyes. Use conditioning serums that will feed your lashes with proper ingredients. Castor oil is a common ingredient in brow and eyelash conditioners. It is known to help promote length and volume in the eyebrows and lashes.

Lash Lift Care Instructions

Maintain your lash lift by following the recommended aftercare. Avoid water, steam, makeup for the first 48 hours. After that, try to use mild cleansers around the eyes. Avoid strong astringents or alcohol-based and oil-based eye makeup removers.

Lash Lift Gallery Edmonton

Lash Lift Before and After Gallery

Welcome to our online lash lift gallery! We have been lifting eyelashes in Edmonton, Alberta for over 10 years. Over time, we have collected many ‘before and after’ lash lift pictures. We update our online gallery whenever possible.

Lash Lifts work in 3 easy steps! The first step is to open the bonds in the hair, giving flexibility within the mid shaft where the curl is found. The second step sets the lashes into position and seals the hair shaft. The third step reintroduces moisture back into the lashes.

Lash lifts can last up to 12 weeks depending on after-care products used and thickness of lashes. Minimize rubbing and use gentle products on eye area. Thick lashes are more resistant and will fall faster than thin lashes.

Lash Lift and Tint

You must also avoid water, makeup, and pressure on the lashes for 48 hours. Afterwards you can return to your regular routine and products.

It is recommend that clients wait 12 weeks between lash lifts. This allows your hair to recover and regenerate new growth.

Before Booking, are there any allergies you should be aware of?

It is rare for reactions to occur as the products are kept strictly on the lashes. People who have sensitivity to latex are not recommended to have the service, as the adhesive used does contain latex.

If you have ever reacted to artificial lash glue used for strip lashes, you are at risk of having a reaction. Typical allergic reaction will cause the eyes to swell for up to 72 hours.
