Lash Lift Whyte Ave

Lash Lift Services on Whyte Ave

Located on Whyte Ave, Dérmica offers lash lift services. Lash Lifts are a new generation perming method that is safer and more effective than traditional lash perms.

We use silicone pads to “lift” each lash individually and create a subtle, natural looking curl, giving the illusion of length for a full, natural-yet-perfect look.

Once your 45-60-minute service has wrapped up, your lashes are left with a smooth curl that can last up to 6-8 weeks!

Preparing for your appointment

While not necessary, pretreating helps to condition the lashes in preparation for the chemical process. Consider adding a Lash conditIoner to your routine. It will add enhancers to strengthen the lashes pre-service. In addition, daily use will bring you back to par post-service.

20% OFF Lash Lifts EVERY THURSDAY

If possible, arrive to your appointment with a fresh face. Contact lense wearers, please wear your glasses to your appointment.

TIP: It’s a good idea to wash your hair the day of your appointment considering you must avoid water on the lashes for 48 hours.

POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS:

AVOID THE FOLLOWING FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS AFTER SERVICE:
• Washing/wetting the treated area
• Makeup

Lash Lift: The Alternative to Lash Extensions

lash extensions alternative

Lash Lift vs Lash Extensions

Lash lifts are a great alternative to lash extensions. This type of lash enhancement gives the lashes a natural appearance.

When it comes to the preservation of the integrity of the hair, lash lifts are gentler on the lashes. There are a couple of reasons for this. First, the lift is not an “additive” service- it works with your natural lashes. As a result, it does not require the lashes to carry the excess weight of artificial lashes constantly.

Secondly, extensions require each lash be connected to an artificial lash with adhesive 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With the lift, you process one time and then work on repair.

Less frequent required visits is another benefit of the lift. Someone who can’t devote time every 2-3 weeks to fills would prefer the lift because you are looking at 6-10 weeks before you need another lift (depending on your natural lashes). In addition, there is less in-service time during the appointment in comparison to extensions.

Also, the lash lift is a very low-maintenance service. You’re looking at 48 hours post-treatment where you have to be cautious, as opposed to the daily care required with lash extensions.

There are many reasons why the lash lift is a good alternative to extensions.

Lash Lifts sound great! Why would anyone prefer extensions?

It all comes down to personal preference. While some people are looking for a fresh-faced appearance, others are looking for a dramatic finish.

Also, extensions provide additional length, whereas the lift provides the appearance of additional length. Extensions are good for people that can only achieve a certain length and they want more.

Do Lash Lifts damage the eyelashes?

Much like any other chemical processing service, its going to alter the natural state of the hair. Therefore, it does have an effect on the existing hair strand. It may make them dryer than usual, and in some cases (depending on the health of the lash before the treatment) it may cause some brittleness.

Pretreat to Prevent

These things are preventable by pretreating the lashes with a lash serum or moisturizer. Pretreating helps to condition the lashes in preparation for the chemical process. For example, when getting your hair done, its always best to condition and mask prior to your hair colouring service. You would take a similar approach with the lashes.

Repair

After you get your hair processed, you usually start using more conditioner or hair masks in an effort to repair. You wanna do the same for your lashes. Lash conditIoner will not only bring you back to par, but take it further by adding conditioner and enhancers that were not there before. It will replenish what you lost but also add.

LashLIFT, your go-to lash service!

What is a LashLIFT?

LashLIFT is a gentle lash perming service that delivers a semi-permanent curl. The process begins with your lashes being strategically fanned and positioned on a fitted silicone pad prior to the 2-step treatment. Once your 45-60-minute service has wrapped up, your lashes are left with a smooth curl that can last up to 6-8 weeks!

Perfect pairings for your LASHLIFT!

If you’re looking for a defined lash-line pair your LashLIFT with a Lash Tint to really make those lashes stand out. The added color intensifies the lashes and brings out fine hairs that aren’t always able to support mascara. This is great combination for those days in the sun and water, no need for heavy waterproof mascara or bye-bye melted lash lines.

Although a LashLIFT can’t get you the length you want, pairing your service with the EyEnvy Lash and Brow Conditioner will! This super serum boosts your hair natural growth and gets your lashes to their max length by nourishing new growth with nutrients. Apply once a day and your lashes will look and stronger within minimum 6 weeks!

Throughout April 2019, get your LashLIFT & EyEnvy combo for $ 140.

This special is not valid with any other offer/promotion. No pre-purchasing; Ends April 30, 2019.

Q: What is a LASH LIFT?

A: Lash lifts are a gentle form of lash perming that curls the natural lashes along the lash line. It gives the appearance of longer more feminine lashes.

Q: How does it work?

A: The first step is to open the bonds in the hair, giving flexibility within the mid shaft where the curl is found. The second step sets the lashes into position and seals the hair shaft. The third step reintroduces moisture back into the lashes.

Q: How long does it last?

A: Lash lifts can last up to 12 weeks depending on after-care products used and thickness of lashes. Minimize rubbing and use gentle products on eye area. Thick lashes are more resistant and will fall faster than thin lashes.

Q: How do I care for my lashes after the treatment?

You must also avoid makeup, and pressure on the lashes for 48hrs. It is recommended to sleep on your back in order to avoid bending the lashes overnight. Using a lash comb to lift and operate the lashes will help set.

Afterwards you can return to your regular routine and products.

Q: Will the lash lift damage my lashes?

A: It is recommend that clients wait 12 weeks between lash lifts. This allows you hair to recover and regenerate new growth.

Q: Are there any allergies I must be aware of?

A: It is rare for reactions to occur as the products are kept strictly on the lashes. People who have sensitivity to latex are not recommended to have the service, as the adhesive used does contain latex.

If you have ever reacted to artificial lash glue used for strip lashes, you are at risk of having a reaction. Typical allergic reaction will cause the eyes to swell for up to 72 hours.

What did you notice first? The eyelashes or the eyebrows?
