I usually don’t experience acne, but I started breaking out a lot in June. I decided to get a pore facial and photofacial done with Jhoenna, and I’m amazed at how my skin cleared up over the weekend! Dermica is my favourite skin care place in Edmonton! I’m someone who likes to try new places but this is the one place I always come back to.
I’ve had acne my whole life and my regular facials here keep it under control. I’ve been going here for 5 years now and my skin is always better when I leave.
Whenever my skin has some breakouts I come for a facial and within a day after my treatment my skin is clear again like magic!

I had an amazing experience at Dermica today! The facial and massage were absolutely fantastic. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with a good vibe.
I opted for “relax facial” which left my skin glowing and rejuvenated, and the products they used were really affective. The massage was equally incredible done by Johanna. it was just the right balance of relaxation and soothing.
Johanna did my facial and is the best, ensuring i was comfortable throughout the session. The ambiance of the salon, with its soothing music and calming scents, made the experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend!!

A word to the wise: the pore extraction facial hurts like a bee. I wept and my face was red for a day. But my God, was it worth it. My skin is so clear and bright. The texture has calmed considerably. I would recommend bracing yourself for the pain of it, but know it’ll make you look radiant.
The salon was clean and easy to locate. Sylvia did a fantastic job and let me know what she was planning to do so there was no surprises. I have lash extensions on and she treated them with great care so they wouldn’t steam off. I’m thrilled.

We offer a variety of methods to re-shape and reconstruct your eyebrows. It comes down to several factors, including how much time you want to spend restoring your brows.
How do you fix bad eyebrows?
Correction of a bad brow wax or over-plucking can be done via a series of brow shapes. The BrowShape is Dermica’s signature go-to service for brow definition or a quick fix. It includes a precise shape using your facial measurements, gentle soft wax application, tweeze, and trim.
Generally, it takes 15-20 minutes to compete and lasts between 2-5 weeks. You may tweeze freely in-between appointments, however, we recommend that you leave the hair close to the brow line for your appointment.
Depending on the amount of recovery needed from the brow trauma, you may need anywhere from two to six brow shapes to restore your brows to your recognizable, beloved shape.
While brow shapes are the best way to restore your eyebrows from an economical perspective, it is a journey that requires a time commitment. On the other hand, microblading is a brow correction method that immediately restores a pigmented-yet-realistic version of your eyebrows.

Most clients are able to get through their appointment just fine, however, waxing can be painful in sensitive areas. You may take an anti-inflammatory 30 minutes prior to your appointment to reduce discomfort and inflammation following your visit. This is specially great for those prone to ingrown hairs or major irritation.
Waxing requires 24 hours downtime, therefore, we recommend no swimming, sweating, fragranced products, or sun exposure.

Prior to booking a wax service ensure your hair is at least ¼ inch long. Even though waxing is a common esthetics service, it is not without contraindications.
Your esthetician will review your health history prior to starting your service. This will reveal any health conditions, medications, products, or allergies that may present safety concerns with the delivery of the service.
